'Organiek Mechaniek' playfully demonstrates that what is mechanical can also become organic.
We have all experienced it: you have to do something that you don't really feel like doing. But then there is that little voice in your head that says: 'It has to be done'. People who write books about it call that voice your 'alter ego'. That is Latin and literally means 'your other self'. But you can also give that other self a new name. How about 'your own other'?
Do you also have two selves? Do you ever look in the mirror at the other person who is you? When you talk to yourself, do you sometimes laugh together? And can you still feel lonely with two selves?
'Organiek Mechaniek' is a show that combines sound, music, and pure bicycle acrobatics in a playful, theatrical kinetic language. It is a performance that reinvents the (bicycle) wheel in a unique way and thus makes everything 'round' again.
