Jakobe Geens

Jakobe Geens started her circus career in 2008 at Ell Circo del Fuego in Antwerp. However, before she started there, she already had a background in movement-based theatre and acrosport, complemented by a variety of skills like sculpting and playing the accordion. She followed her dream and that led her to ACAPA (Academy for Circus and Performance Art). She specialized in pair acrobatics and then continued at the BA program in Circus at DOCH in Stockholm. She graduated with an acrobatic dance piece.

Geens' artistic approach focuses on opening up spaces and creating new realities. She joins artistic productions all over the world, continues to investigate circus as an art form, and entertains audiences as the modern saltimbanque that she is.
